Staying at Melange Boutique Hotel Bukit Bintang offered a blend of positives and areas needing improvement. The staff were genuinely kind, eagerly preparing for my late check-in at 4 AM and even recommending affordable Grab rides over taxis. The hotel’s location couldn’t be better—just a short stroll to vibrant dining spots, especially Jalan Alor. The security measures made me feel safe, with access cards needed for the elevators and lobby. However, some room aspects were disappointing. The air conditioning was effective, yet the filter clearly needed cleaning. The bathroom showed signs of wear, with a lingering sewage odor that needed attention. Additionally, the minibar required cleaning before use. Room lighting was dim, making it hard to read. The carpeting looked dated. These improvements could significantly enhance the stay.

great location next to nightlife area, privacy with blackout curtains, clean and functional bathroom
Incredibly dark room with poor lighting!!! Shower had hard water stains and the staff should manage the check-in process better. Many guests roaming around the area at night made me feel uncomfortable!!!

The location was unbeatable, with the famous Jalan Alor just a short walk away for amazing street food, and the MRT station very close too. I loved that I could glimpse the iconic PETRONAS towers from my room. it felt like a little treat every day. The bed was comfortable, and the shower was nice and hot after exploring the city—which isn’t far, since I walked to the Twin Towers in about 25 minutes. Overall, it was a great base for my adventures in Kuala Lumpur.

Cleanliness stood out in the small yet comfortable room, equipped well for the price, with a functional bathroom. The staff provided commendable support, particularly during an incident with my identity card, ensuring a pleasant experience despite the hiccup. The location is fantastic, within a short walking distance to popular food streets and public transport, but the street can feel a bit sketchy at times. The breakfast options, however, left much to be desired for non-local palates, with limited selections available.
